Free Career Testing

Most Free Career Testing takes from five to fifteen minutes to a half an hour to complete.

These tests identify what your true motivations are toward the work you like to do.

If you categorize your personality and those types of work areas you have a preference for, a best career match can be made.

For true career happiness, the career has to fit who you are, not the other way around.

Knowing yourself better can only serve to help you pick the right career.

Test Validity

Choose a testing instrument which has proven reliability. This means that studies proved you will get the same scores each time you take that particular test. Depending upon what kind of Career Tests are given, test studies are published on their own testing websites. Often, there are Doctorate level professionals behind the testing and creation of valid tests.

Once you take a valid assessment, you will know what motivates you in a preferred job. You will usually receive suggestions for careers through a readable printout. Career Planning can then begin, once you find your motivations, interests, abilities, and passions, as they relate to a career choice.

Career Test Purpose

There are no right or wrong answers. The purpose of taking Free Career Tests is to find a career match. Be careful, because many free tests are not standardized. Make sure you read their disclaimers. Trusting advice from the wrong test can be disastrous to your future. You do not want to do all the training and education only to find out later you chose a career mismatch.

You want to be sure all the test results are dependable. With free tests, you usually get what you pay for. The exception to the rule may be, the Princeton© Review Career Quiz twenty four question test. It is free, time proven, and takes about five minutes to complete.

In addition, they have another more detailed and comprehensive test for a fee. I am not saying that the other free tests online are not reliable, I am saying be careful- Do the research to know the background and dependability of each test before you decide to rely on test results to make your career decision and plan your new career direction.
