Confused about Choosing a Career? Don't be

If one does not know what it is he wants to do for a living, then Choosing a Career can be a bit difficult. There are thousands of choices, but which lifelong job do you choose?

Children go to grade school and adolescents to their colleges, like they are going to a dreary job they hate. Could it be we expect too much fulfillment from school? There are people who just do not want to sit in a classroom for hours on end.

The purpose of education is to prepare us for the world of working after we graduate, right? But in actuality, what does it prepare us for? This is where experience will take over as our teacher, after school. Granted, school gives us the basics, but that's about all one can expect. The perfect harmony is when all your education, training, life, and on the job experiences come together as one.

School bores many; this is not new

Many do not like to go to school. Why is this? What I think part of the problem is, is that we all have different learning styles. So, why not different schools for different learning preferences?

Of course, someone already figured this out. You can go to a college or vocational school after high school. In grade school, there are no options I know of. Nevertheless, why not have options which fit each child's preferred learning style.

In a perfect world, there could be different schools for different learning styles. Say for example, if one were a better learner audibly, and another visually, and yet another was a hands on kid, they would have their own classrooms, or schools. Better still, if there were enough resources for teachers, children could get more extensive individual attention, according to their own style of learning, so they could learn according to their strongest aptitudes.

Know Thyself Well enough to Answer Questions on a Career Test

If you are an adult, or close to being one, and thinking about choosing a career, you may also be interested in receiving Career Change Advice to help put you on the right career track.

The most important thing you need to know better, is yourself. If you know what kind of person you are, you will know what you want. And, if you know what things you like and don't like, taking a career test can help inventory things about you which can lead you to the right careers.

Furthermore, if you know yourself well, you will know what you are Passionate about. Working in a job without motivation is like not having any goals in life. It is similar to a ship without a rudder, or fast car without a steering wheel; you are going nowhere.

Passion is the power which will move you toward your career goals. If you know what your passion is, and can match it to the right job, this will help you in choosing a career which fits you best. Passion within a career brings fulfillment and career success, and will carry over into your personal life.
