Your Career Path

Career Path Tests can help you find your Career Direction.

There are many Career Tests which have been researched and proven dependable over time.

You don't have to pay a lot for a validated and reliable assessment test, either.

They are reasonably priced online; or, especially at colleges and universities.

The Career Guidance Counselor at the school, can point out which assessment tests are appropriate for your needs. Additionally, you do not particularly have to be enrolled to take the tests. Some tests are free, if you are a registered student.

What you get out of Career Testing, is what you put into it. Be honest, and don't forget that the test is for assessing which jobs you would be compatible with. There are no right or wrong answers. So, if you honestly express your true feelings while answering the test questions with the first answer that pops in your mind, you will get results back that accurately reflect who you are, and suggestions for those career fields which will fit your personality style, best.

Find a Career that Matches Your Personality

You want to get placed in a job that reflects your personality and aptitudes. This is the most important thing to look for while job searching. You want to find that particular job that reflects who you are as a total person. There really is no separation between personal and professional, because a career affects and influences all areas and aspects of your life. The right career will be responsible for a large part of your life's happiness.

The questions you will be asked on a career test will be pretty basic. For example, they may ask you if you like working on projects alone, or if you have the social need to interact within a group setting. If you take the test at a college, you may wish to have the test interpreted by the Career Counselor. The consultation is usually free, and included with taking the test. A qualified Career Guidance Counselor can recommend career paths, and answer any career test, or career related questions. Moreover, some tests are self directed and self interpreted by you.

If your career choice requires any education, the Counselor or test will recommend a course of study. Career Testing is part of career goals and career planning. A career test and a career counselor can only recommend career avenues that are known to be compatible to your personality and skills. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide which career choice is right. Remember, to choose the job that you are excited about, and have the passion and natural aptitude for doing. To be sure about your new career choice, it may be a good idea to interview those in the job you are interested in, take a part time job in it, an internship, apprenticeship, or even volunteer.
